Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Glittery Green DIYs

St. Patrick’s Day is almost here, and whether you are planning on getting together with your friends or celebrating at home with your family, no one wants to pass up this fun-filled holiday and a delicious dinner of corned beef and cabbage. There are plenty of ways to celebrate on St. Patrick’s Day, and if you are looking for a way to decorate for the festivities, there are lots of fun – and easy – DIY projects to create. Not Irish? Neither was St. Patrick! So if you want to celebrate the Irish spirit this year, just put on your favorite green shirt and get crafting. Lace Heaven has a great list of St. Patrick’s Day crafts for you to try:

leprechaun and pot of gold appliqueButton Rainbow Frame

Whether displayed on a table or hung on the wall, we love this button rainbow craft from Candle Light Lifestyle. All you need is a frame, a piece of white fabric cut to fit within and a colorful array of buttons. The buttons can be sewn onto the fabric, or they can be glued on with a hot glue gun. Then, all you have to do is decide what you’ll find at the end of our rainbow. The tutorial explains how to add a cloud and the word “lucky”, but we like the idea of adding a pot of gold! And we even have the perfect appliqué for the job.

Ribbon Shamrocks

Easy to make and absolutely adorable, these ribbon shamrocks from Potlucks on the Porch provide you with endless crafting possibilities. Glued to hair clips or headbands, they are perfect for putting in your daughters’ hair for a festive touch. We also love the idea of using them to create a holiday banner or window display. And all you need to get started is some pretty green ribbon!

St. Patrick's Day laceMason Jar Centerpieces

Filled with flowers or used as luminaries, these adorable Shamrock Mason Jars from Mom4Real are a wonderful way to decorate your dinner table. Glittery and fun, this sequined lace is perfect for tying in a bow around the top of the jar.

Now that you have chosen a St. Patrick’s Day craft, all that’s left to do is order your supplies. We hope you enjoy these festive DIY projects as much as we did!
