As if you needed another excuse to do some serious crafting, March is National Craft Month! It’s a great opportunity to celebrate your love for all things crafty. Here are some ways that you can let your creativity shine this month!
Take a Class
There are always so many crafting class experiences to be had! Most cities offer classes at local craft stores, galleries, or studios. Check your local paper to find a list of classes. Still can’t find one? Try craigslist! They have a whole section devoted to classes in your area.
Try a New Medium
There are four weekends in March, meaning you have four opportunities to start new forms of crafting. Weave a rug, make a flower pot for your spring bud; make button art; even use your scraps of lace to weave a bookmark. Come up with a new craft for each weekend. Get your friends involved! Even throw a crafting party to see how others are getting creative.
Teach Your Kids
Getting your kids involved in crafting is a great way to keep them occupied while also being able to have some fun yourself. Whether it’s a simple painting or multimedia project, getting your kids involved in crafting is one of the best things you can do for their creativity.
Share Your Projects
Did you know there is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to creative folks like us? Cre8Time aims to enhance lives through creative expression around the world. Use the #cre8time hashtag to share your projects on social media and get them linked up with other crafters around the world. Check out their site to browse what everyone else is making as well! Share your lace projects on our Facebook page – we would love to see them!
